Nonimmigrant Visa Application Fees to Increase Worldwide June 4

Beginning on June 4, 2010, Machine-Readable Visa (MRV) application fees will increase to ensure sufficient resources to cover the rising cost of processing nonimmigrant visas. For a number of reasons, including new security enhancements, the $131 fee set on January 1, 2008 no longer covers the current, actual cost of processing nonimmigrant visas. The increase will be implemented worldwide.

Under the new schedule of fees, applicants for B1/B2 tourist and business visitor visas will pay a fee of $140. The vast majority of Serbian applicants apply for B1/B2 visas, which validity for Serbian citizens was increased on May 20th from three years to ten years. This means that 10-year visa will be valid for multiple entries and the visa fee will be paid once in every ten years.

Applicants will be required to pay the full fee in effect on the day that they apply, regardless of when they paid. If an applicant has already paid their MRV fee at the bank prior to the date of the fee increase, the difference between the old and the new fees will be collected at the embassy during the applicant?s interview.

Nove takse za obradu zahteva za neuseljeničke vize od 4. juna ?irom sveta

Od 4. juna 2010. godine, povećava se taksa za obradu zahteva kako bi se pokrili uvećani tro?kovi obrade neuseljeničkih viza. Iz brojnih razloga, uključujuće unapređenje bezbednosnih mera, taksa od 131 dolar ustanovljena 1. janura 2008. godine vi?e ne pokriva realne tro?kove obrade neuseljeničkih viza. Povećanje takse stupa na snagu u celom svetu.

Prema novom tro?kovniku, taksa za B1/B2 turističke i poslovne vize je 140 dolara. Većina srpskih podnosioca molbi apliciraju upravo za B1/B2 kategoriju viza čije je va?enje za građane Srbije 20. maja produ?eno sa tri na deset godina. To znači da su desetogodi?nje vize validne za vi?e ulazaka i da će se taksa za obradu zahteva plaćati samo jednom u deset godina.

Podnosioci zahteva za neuseljeničku vizu obavezni su da plate pun iznos nove takse na dan podno?enja zahteva, bez obzira da li su u ranijem period uplatili umanjen iznos za istu. Ukoliko je podnosilac zahteva uplatio taksu za obradu zahteva za vizu u banci pre datuma poskupljenja, razlika se naplaćuje na dan kada je zakazan razgovor za vizu.
