administrator Posted April 5, 2020 Report Share Posted April 5, 2020 AISEES announces the availability of 3 grants of up to $2,500 for advanced students or scholars living in and traveling from southeastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia) in support of travel expenses to present original research at professional conferences in the United States. Funds are intended to cover the cost of transportation to and from the conference, registration fees, and lodging. The deadline for submitting an application for this grant is August 30, 2020. Depending on the number of applications received, preference will be given to first-time travelers to a U.S. conference, and to those scholars participating in multiple roles such as a speaker, chair, or discussant. Applicants can only receive a single award. The following application materials must be submitted: A completed AISEES Travel Grant application form Shortened CV for applicant (approximately two pages) Estimated cost for travel, lodging and conference registration Letter of acceptance of the paper or presentation at the conference. A letter of recommendation from the head or chair of the applicant’s department, division, or institution AISEES will provide the full amount to successful applicants when they receive the grant. The awardee must provide documents showing the cost of airline/bus/train tickets (or e-ticket) receipt, conference receipts and lodging expenses.
