administrator Posted July 31, 2021 Report Share Posted July 31, 2021 The Faculty of Engineering and Sciences (FES) of Universidad Adolfo Ibanez has great pleasure in inviting applications for open rank faculty positions in Applied and Computational Mathematics due to start as early as March 1st 2022 on the Campus Santiago. The FES is developing a new research and educational program in interdisciplinary, applied and computational mathematics. The selected applicants are expected to contribute to this endeavor by joining the current team of 20+ faculty members working in these areas. We are looking for candidates with a solid mathematical and computational background, with high potential to advance the mathematical foundations of interdisciplinary research in science, engineering, and/or the social domains. Particular attention will be given to applications that show strong synergy between mathematical modeling, high-performance and advanced scientific computing, discrete algorithms and stochastic processes, as well as data assimilation and uncertainty quantification. FES seeks outstanding researchers with a marked academic interest in high quality education and research, with expertise in both theory and applications, and motivated by multidisciplinary work at the interface with engineering. Candidates are expected to hold (or be close to completing) a doctoral degree in applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field. The successful candidate must demonstrate the promise of outstanding scholarship in every regard, including research and teaching.
