I have finished the highschool as valedictorian and straight a student ( with average mark 5.00 ) and i'm also playing soccer for 7 years. Thus i need to know does it helps me in geting full scholarship and am i able to combine the academic scholarship with athlete scholarship ( if i get that.) Also i need to know what is the highest percent of academic scholarship that i can get and what is the minimum SAT score that i must achieve to get full scholarship or minimum score which can be combined with athlete scholarship to get full treatment? Also i need to know how to be added to the recruiting list( should i send e-mails to all coaches that i can find and ask tham to do that, or i should only send my highlights to them, and they will put me on the list if they want)

Srednju skolu sam zavrsio sa prosekom 5.00 i bio sam djak generacije, a takodje treniram fudbal vec 7 godina. Zeleo bih da nastavim da igram fudbal po odlasku na koledz pa me interesuje da li postoji mogucnost da se kombinuje sportska i akademska stipendija kako bih dobio 100% stipendije ukupno. Takodje me interesuje i koji je najmanji potreban skor sa SAT testa kako bih aplicirao za stipendiju, bilo da je ona samo akademska i da iznosi 100% ili da je kombinovana sa sportskom. Takodje me interesuje kako stupiti na recruiting list kada je sport u pitanju ( da li je potrebno slati svim trenerim e-mail i traziti od njih samo da me stave na lisu, ili ako se salje mejl samo saljem svoje podatke i snimak sa utakmice a oni me sami stave na listu ukoliko to zele)

I couldn't find enough information about Business Schools in the US so i decided to start a new topic.

Currently, I am a junior at Montclair State University on Fulbright Scholarship, J1 visa. I came in the US for the first time in September 2011. and I will stay here for 1 academic year. All my expenses are covered which helps we focus on my studies and cultural benefits. Montclair State Uni. in located in New Jersey, just 30 min. from new York City. I was lucky to get this great placement because the school where I want to do my masters is Columbia Business School.

My major is management, minor French. I have passed TOEFL exam with 110 points and currently I am planning to take GMAT in IACBG when I come back to Serbia. I will need to score over 650 to be eligible for applying to CBS. For me, there are no other options. This school offers unique programs in marketing, and marketing is a field I am pursuing my career in. Also, there is no better environment to do marketing studies than New York City.

Let me tell you some of the requirements for CBS:

GMAT > 650 for international students ( Average applicants score 680–760 )

GPA > 3.5 ( Average applicants GPA 3.1–3.8 )

I would be really thankful if anyone here can tell me about his/hers experience with application process or any useful information about CBS.

Scholarship is my only option for masters, since my parent's aren't in a situation to pay for my studies. CBS doesn't offer any scholarships for master studies. I was talking to the women from admissions office the other day and she told me only options are student loans, because they offer scholarships only for PhD students. Any tips on scholarships are more than welcome as well.

Zanima me koji su sve izvori finasiranja u na?oj zemlji koji podr?avaju studente na postdiplomskim studijama(dru?tvene nauke)u Americi ili Evropi? diplomiram master studije arhitekture u BG-u sledece godine, i hteo bih da nastavim studije sa jos jednim master studijama, preferabilno Master of science...

Inace, maturirao sam kao exchange student u srednjoj skoli u USA, znanje jezika mi je dobro, a i spremam se sada za CPE...znam da nije za USA podrucje ali vazi ceo zivot, a toefl cu lako...

Dakle, gledao sam razlicite univerzitete, skolarine su ogromne, tipa 35-50k dolara, a stipendije mi deluju kao nemoguce za dobiti, tj uopste mi nije jasan sistem dobijanja istih, i sve koje sam ja video pokrivaju pola ili manje od pola skolarine, sto mi ne znaci mnogo...

U principu, aplicirao bih krajem sledece godine, za akademsku 2012/13...

Recimo da su mi zanimljivi programi na MIT-u, Prinston nije los, Kolumbija odlicna ali ona ne daju stipendije...

ima i dosta skola u SF-u i sl, ali sve to mi deluje jako daleko.

Kakvu pomoc mogu da ocekujem od vaseg centra, i da li imate preporuku za neke koledze koji su se u polju koje me zanima pokazali saradljivi oko stipendija i sl.

I have a problem with George Washington University. Namely, I have applied there since it's a strong university, and when I contacted them they said that inernational students are considered for an academic scholarship that can range up to full tuition. However, yesterday one of the admission committe officers contaced me, saying that I am required to deliver them the financial certificate (I have sent it alreday, since they said I don't have to write the full amount) which confirmes that I have the necessary 52000$ for tuition! I emailed her explaining what they told me, and she replied that the maximum sum I can get is 15000$. What should I do?

I have been appointed by a friend that this is a right place to start my scholarship search; actually he recommended contacting Elizabeth Chung and asking her for help. I really hope you can at least show me the way I need to look at things, since I am getting kind of desperate.

Last year I received a leadership scholarship sponsored by United States Department, to spend one year in American High School; originally I am from Serbia, Novi Sad. I came to United States with a J-1 visa, managed to finish High School early, and apply for one of the States Universities (ASU, to be exact). The only problem is that I did not plan to stay in America at the beginning- so I applied really late, and got accepted pretty recently. As being an exchange student, my tuition is quite high (around $30000) and Universities do not give tuition wavers to International/exchange students. I have a 4.00 GPA, lots of diplomas from mathematical competitions mostly state level (Republicka takmicenja), SAT and TOEFL done... I do not want to give up on my dreams, and that is to continue my education in America. I worked really hard all my life and I am ready to put up a fight in order to realize my plans, and finish my undergraduate studies at pre med Arizona State University... I would highly appreciate if you have any suggestions, and thank you in advanced for your time.

Ja sam trenutno 3. godina srednje skole i izuzetno sam zainteresovan za studiranje u SAD (Uglavnom zbog naseg razocaravajuceg obrazovnog sistema) ali mi je potrebna dobra stipendija.

Ja sam drugu godinu srednje skole zavrsio u SAD (Preko A-SMYLE programa, za one koje znaju sta je to) i tamo sam bio odusevljen nacinom rada.

Moja pitanja su:

1) Koliko je bitan prosek u skoli, podrazumevajuci da sam u SAD imao mnogo, mnogo bolji prosek nego u Srbiji.

2) Iskreno, kakve su mi sanse?

Moj Prosek: I - 4.07 II - 3.9x (ne secam se tacno, mrzi me da trazim sada ocene od tamo - naravno, prosek je podrazumevajuci da su ocene na skali od 1-4) i III - 4.00.

ACT: 28 (mada planiram SAT u oktobru)

TOEFL: polazem u avgustu, ali nije toliko problem

Hi, im new here and I have just a couple of questions to ask about getting college scholarships in the US:

I'm a highschool junior (3rd grade) from Novi Sad, Serbia and I am really interested in going to college and studying in the US (My main reason is the, for me at least, disappointing educational system that we have in Serbia - study minor things that you will forget shortly afterwards). But I really need a good scholarship...

I finished my sophmore year (2nd HS grade) in the US, in Missouri, through the A-SMYLE exchange program and i was thrilled with the educational system and the work ethics.

My questions are:

1) How important is my HS GPA considering that it was a lot higher in the US than in Serbia.

2) Sincerely, what are my odds?

My GPA: 1st grade - 4.07 2nd grade (US) - 3.9x ( 4 point scale - cant remember exactly and dont have the time now to search for my transcripts) 3rd grade - 4.00

ACT (took it in the US) - 28 - i might take the SAT in october though and im looking for a good score

TOEFL - taking in august and i should do well

Also, I am a member of quite a bit of clubs in school and have done a lot of volunteer work if it helps to get the scholarship.
