administrator
N.C. State may have found a solution to its problems in the post. Kevin Keatts got a big man in the form of former Utah forward Dusan Mahorcic. Mahorcic (6-10, 227) committed to the Wolfpack on Monday, officially posting the announcement on social media. Mahorcic, a native of Serbia, averaged 5.5 points per game for the Utes in 2021-22, appearing in 13 games. On Jan. 29, he was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules and never returned to the team. He previously played at Illinois State. In Raleigh, Mahorcic will fill a void in the post following the departures of Manny Bates and Jaylon Gibson. They are two of four Wolfpack players who have entered the transfer portal this off season. Last month, Keatts added two players from the portal, guards Jack Clark and Jarkel Joiner. Mahorcic will join post players Ebenezer Dowuona and Greg Gantt on the N.C. State roster. Guards Terquavion Smith and Dereon Seabron entered their names in the NBA draft, but could both return to school.
