The postdoctoral researcher will work under the direction of Susanne C. Brenner. The position will begin on August 1, 2018. Responsibilities The postdoctoral researcher will engage in interdisciplinary research in Computational Mathematics, interact with research groups from multiple disciplines to develop and advance integrated methods and tools that facilitate interdisciplinary research activities at the CCT, participate in national and international conferences and programs relevant to and in support of CCT research activities along with other duties assigned by Professor Brenner. Minimum Qualifications PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field. A.B.D. candidates will be considered as long as the degree is conferred by the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications Research excellence. Ideal candidates will be published research in at least one of the following areas: adaptive methods, discontinuous Galerkin methods, multigrid methods, domain decomposition methods, elliptic optimal control problems, computational electromagnetics or computational mechanics.
