Austria: Job: Professor of Southeast European History and Anthropology, University of Graz

At the Institute of History at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the University of Graz is seeking to appoint a

Professor of Southeast European History and Anthropology (40 hours per week; selection procedure in accordance with Section 98 of the Universities Act (UG); permanent employment according to the Austrian Law on Salaried Employment (AngG); expected starting date October 1st 2023)
The professorship encompasses the entire field of Southeast European history in its largest geographic extent and historical depth. A focus should be on historical-anthropological approaches. Expectations include a habilitation or equivalent qualification in history, good knowledge of German, English and at least one Southeast European language. We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.
