Type of Awards:

  • Five (5) Digital Cameras will be awarded to five (5) high school students.
  • Five (5) $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to five (5) college or technical school students. Four awards will be for video work while one will be for still photography.

Scholarships will be awarded to students whose work "tells a story". This is a fairly broad topic and may include a variety of subject matter and approaches (breaking news, sporting events, etc.). Jim Cox, who was a television photojournalist in Phoenix, Arizona, always "told a story" through his work, whether it was in video or still photography.
