I. Scholarships and Fellowships

EducationUSA Scholarship at the University of Evansville

The University of Evansville (Indiana) is again offering its competitive scholarship for students coming through EducationUSA Advising Centers. Advisers may nominate students (one per center) for the $15,000 per academic year scholarship. To receive the scholarship, students must be academically eligible for admission to the University and have the EducationUSA adviser's nomination. Students may begin either in August or January. Conditional acceptances are available for students who do not yet have the necessary English proficiency; they may begin in our Intensive English Center and transition into undergraduate studies when ready. This scholarship is renewable each year for 4 years.

Among Midwest colleges and universities, the University of Evansville ranks #3 as a Great School at a Great Price and #10 overall from the U.S. News and World Report?s latest ?Best Colleges? issue. This year University of Evansville was also cited among universities with an outstanding program in study abroad. The School of Business boasts AACSB International accreditation and the College of Engineering and Computer Science, ABET accreditation.

Monterey Institute Scholarships for Language Studies

Monterey Institute is pleased to offer two scholarships for intensive language study for Summer 2011.

Betty and David Jones Language Scholarships: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Russian and Spanish

The Betty and David Jones Scholarships offer up to 50 full-tuition scholarships for study during the summer 2011 at the Middlebury Language Schools, the Monterey Institute's Summer Intensive Language Program (SILP) or the Monterey Institute Intensive English Program. These scholarships are available to students intending to enroll at the Monterey Institute in fall 2011. To be eligible for fellowships, candidates must be admitted to a degree program in international policy, public administration, nonproliferation and terrorism studies, international environmental policy, international business or teaching foreign language for fall 2011. A limited number of top students will receive full scholarships including tuition, room, and board to attend the Middlebury Language Schools. Additional highly qualified students will receive full scholarships including tuition, room, and board to attend the Middlebury Language Schools. Additional highly qualified students will receive tuition-only scholarships to attend SILP or the Intensive English Program at the Monterey Institute.

Kathryn Davis Fellowships for Peace: Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Russian

The Kathryn Davis Fellowships for Peace offer up to 30 full-fellowships, including tuition, room, board, and books to attend Middlebury Language Schools during summer 2011. These scholarships are available to students intending to enroll at the Monterey Institute in fall 2011. To be eligible for fellowships, candidates must be admitted to a degree program in international policy, public administration, nonproliferation and terrorism studies, international environmental policy, international business or teaching foreign language for fall 2011.

February 1, 2011 deadline for both scholarships. To be considered for both you must apply for both scholarships.

If your language is Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or Russian you are encouraged to apply to both scholarships.

Siena Heights University Scholarships for International Students

Siena Heights University, a small Catholic liberal arts institution in Adrian, Michigan, is pleased to announce its need-based scholarship program for international students. SHU currently hosts over 80 international students from 40 different countries. SHU has a total student population of 3,000 in its undergraduate, graduate, and degree-completion programs. Most international students that request need-based aid are awarded assistance. Aid averages over half the cost of SHU?s tuition.

SHU has a low student to teacher ratio with many classes being no more than 15?20 students. The mission of Siena Heights University is to assist people to become more competent, purposeful, and ethical through a teaching and learning environment which respects the dignity of all. Students from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at the University. Students, staff and faculty know each other. With a small student population, it is not uncommon for deep bonds and long lasting friendships to be formed among faculty, staff and students. Take the Challenge: SCAD Challenge Scholarship Competition

Are you ready for the challenge? The Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) is offering high school students an international stage to exhibit their work - the SCAD Challenge series seeks the next generation of talented artists and designers. High school seniors and juniors compete to showcase their work at signature SCAD events, and may become eligible for scholarships to SCAD, the most comprehensive art and design university in the world.

AAUW International Fellowships

AAUW International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate study at accredited institutions are supported. Several fellowships are available for study outside of the U.S.

Fellowships support one year of study in the United States at the Master?s, PhD or Post-doctoral level.

Grant Details:

Microsoft Scholarships for Computer Science and related fields

A Microsoft scholarship provides a leg up for undergraduate students in computer science and related technical disciplines. Microsoft is offering four different types of technical scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year to current undergraduate students: General Scholarships, Women's Scholarships, Minority Scholarships, and Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. Final candidates are selected based on the following criteria:

? Eligibility

? Quality of applicatio

? Displayed interest in the software industry

? Commitment to leadership

? Financial need

To be eligible, you must be enrolled full time in a Bachelor's degree program at a 4-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time you submit the application. Plus, we?ll need to see that you?re making satisfactory progress toward an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, math, or physics?and that you demonstrate an interest in computer science. Because the scholarship is merit based, you must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0, or a 4.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.0.

Graziadio School launches Certificate in Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible Business Practice

Pepperdine University?s Graziadio School of Business and Management announces the launch of its new Certificate in Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible (SEER) Business Practice. Today, business leaders know that being a responsible corporate citizen is not optional. They need leaders who understand the complexities of issues such as sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and ethics ? and how these tie into producing a superior product that generates financial growth.

Pepperdine?s SEER certificate allows students, with any academic concentration, to complement their MBA with courses and activities that will prepare them to:

1. Incorporate their own values and ethics into a successful career in 21st-century business

2. Apply SEER values to companies large or small, across a diverse range of industries

3. Lead the next wave of great organizations
