Partial funding is provided through the NSF Collaborations in Mathematical Geosciences (CMG) program. The project will involve multi-scale modeling and numerical simulations of flows related to atmosphere-ocean applications, supervised by Professors Leslie Smith and Sam Stechmann. There are opportunities for collaborative research with partner institutions NCAR (co-PI Annick Pouquet) and the New Mexico Consortium (co-PI Susan Kurien). Applicants should set up an account at http://www.mathjobs.org. All application materials, include a completed AMS Standard Cover Sheet, a curriculum vitae which includes a publication list, and brief descriptions of research and teaching, should be uploaded to this site.

Applicants should arrange to have three to four letters of recommendation delivered through mathjobs.org. At least one letter must discuss the applicant's teaching experiences and capabilities. Other evidence of good teaching will also be helpful.
