administrator Posted December 27, 2010 Report Share Posted December 27, 2010 Postdoctoral Position in Mathematical and Computational Analysis of Phase Field Models The Department of Scientific Computing at Florida State University, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the area of Mathematical and Computational Analysis of Phase Field Models. The successful candidate will perform numerical solution and asymptotic and uncertainty analysis of phase field models, with applications in materials research. We are particularly interested in applicants with Ph.D.s in applied mathematics, computational materials science, computational mechanics or computational physics. Prior experience in computational aspects of phase field models or related partial differential equation based models would be a strong advantage. The position will be available in February 2011, with a flexible start date. It will be offered initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension to two or more years, depending on the candidate's performance.
