PhD Fellowship, CFD, City College of New York

Search is made for PhD student positions funded by anticipated fellowship at NOAA - Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center (CRSET), http://crest.ccny.cuny.edu/, which is located at Dept. of Civil eng., City College of New York (CCNY) of the City University of New York (CUNY). The successful candidate will work on coastal ocean flow related computational fluid dynamics/computational engineering and develop new and enhance existing numerical models. The candidate must be highly motivated, goal oriented, and have

* College degree(s) in oceanography, fluid, applied math, civil eng., etc.

* Solid knowledge in math/numerical methods and physics

* US or its territory citizenship, as required by the funding source

Preference will be given to those who have previous experience in computer programming and flow modeling algorithm development. Those with background in both math and engineering are especially welcome.
