administrator Posted July 11, 2011 Report Share Posted July 11, 2011 A postdoc position is available in the Geo-Mathematical Imaging Group (part of Computational Math) at Purdue University. The postdoc will be supervised by Profs. Maarten de Hoop and Jianlin Xia on a project on the following topics: - Fast algorithms in numerical linear algebra and high performance computing. - Applications of fast solvers to inverse problems and seismic imaging. - Parallel implementations and programs. The position will be for three years (required), and there will be (most likely) no teaching duties. The postdoc will work in multidisciplinary research group that has close connections with oil industries and engineering groups.
