The MSU Achievement Awards range between US$2,000 and US$15,000 per year and are renewable for four years with maintenance of a 3.0 / 4.0 GPA. Applicants who send their official ACT or SAT scores will automatically qualify for a scholarship if their score meets the minimum score of 1560 (SAT) or 23 (ACT). MSU is especially known for quality programs in the fields of agriculture, architecture (NAAB), business (AACSB), computer science (CSAB), engineering (ABET), film production, and the sciences. The Carnegie Foundation ranks MSU in the top tier of Research Universities, demonstrating very high research activity. Those considered for Merit-based scholarships have SAT/ACT range equivalent of 1120 to 1500 on a 1600 scale and are applying for either Fall/Autumn or Spring semester. Competitive merit based scholarships are also available to transfer international students.
