WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON COLLEGE (PA) ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FIRST YEAR WITH MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Washington & Jefferson College is still accepting applications for first year and transfer admission with a merit scholarship. Merit scholarships are not full scholarships, but range from $8,000 to $18,000 and are guaranteed each year if the minimum GPA requirement is met. To apply, visit our web site. You will automatically be considered for a merit scholarship when you apply - no additional application is needed for consideration for a scholarship. The submission of standardized testing (SATs and ACTs is option). However students whose primary lanugage is not English must submit the TOEFL or IELTS.

An Indonesian Student Scholarship is being offered at Northern Arizona University in the United States!

 

Students receive a tuition reduction of 20% - a discount of $4,300 per academic year. Automatic consideration for the Indonesian Student Scholarship is given upon student’s application for admission.

NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY (SD) MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Are you a talented violinist, violist, cellist, or double bass player? 

Dr. Robert Vodnoy, conductor of the Aberdeen University/Civic Symphony is seeking two violinists, a violist, a cellist, and a double bass player to become music majors at Northern State University and to play in the Aberdeen University/Civic Symphony. 

 

Generous academic scholarships are available plus music scholarships and additional string scholarships for highly qualified students!

STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NJ) MASTERS FELLOWS PROGRAM

 

The Masters Fellows Program offers fellowships to students, who have achieved distinction during their postsecondary education. It is a one-time fellowship award ranging from $2000 to $6000. Selection criteria include GRE/GMAT scores in addition to exceptional academic performance as an undergraduate. TOEFL scores are also considered as a criterion for international applicants. PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY'S COLLEGE OF BUSINESS (KS) INTERNATIONAL MINI-MBA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

 

Pittsburg State University's College of Business is excited to host the International Mini-MBA Certificate Program which is a great introduction to Master of Business Administration. The Mini-MBA Program will be held this summer on July 9-25, 2014. The program is uniquely designed to accommodate the international learner and to introduce the U.S. business environment presented by the faculty of PSU's AACSB accredited and award-winning business school.

 

This non-degree, non-credit bearing program is open to all students, both undergraduate and graduate, as well as professionals in the workforce. Students do not need to have a business degree to apply. The cost for the program is $2500 (US) which includes classes, field trips, housing, health insurance, access to campus facilities, and airport pick-up.

CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY (CA) SCHOOL OF PHARMACY MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

 

Beginning Fall 2014, Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP) will offer a 2-year, year-round thesis and non-thesis Master of Science in the Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSPS) for students interested in a broad range of scientific disciplines critical to the discovery and development of new drugs and therapies. 

 

Graduates of the program can pursue a variety of career opportunities in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. A number of pharmaceutical, biomedical, and medical device companies are located both in and around the Irvine Rinker Health Science Campus where CUSP is located in Orange County, California. Chapman created this program because company leaders indicate their personnel needs project significant employment opportunities for MSPS graduates. Also, graduates are positioned to work as researchers at universities, for agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which also has a large office in Orange County, U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP), and at national laboratories such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO'S (NM) ONLINE TOEFL PREP COURSE

 

The Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC) at the University of New Mexico (UNM) is now offering a 9-week TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) Preparation Course ONLINE! The course will begin on March 10th and end on May 9th, 2014. 

 

The TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based) Preparation Course will help students meet three goals:

- Better understand the format of the TOEFL iBT test, and each section individually 

- Develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills required for success on the TOEFL iBT test 

- Learn strategies for time management and other test-taking skills that will improve performance on the TOEFL iBT test.

 

This online course allows students to:

- Utilize live web-conferencing every Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. (MST) to interact directly with your instructor 

- Access classroom content, instructor videos, homework, and practice tests at any time from anywhere

 

The TOEFL iBT Preparation Course is available for $150. Students will be responsible for purchasing the Official Guide to the TOEFL Test, Fourth Edition textbook for $21.95. Students may purchase and download the eBook or order the paperback textbook through the official ETS website.

 

**The TOEFL iBT Preparation Course is designed for students who have an intermediate to advanced knowledge and understanding of the English language before beginning the course.**
