SEATTLE CENTRAL COLLEGE (WA) SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Seattle Central is now offering The Global Diversity with Excellence $1,000 tuition waiver to all students from Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Ghana, France, India, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Peru, Russia, Rwanda, Sweden, Tanzania, and Turkey who have the equivalent of a B average in their home country studies. The tuition waiver is open to all programs, including Short Term Certificates, English Language, and Associate Degree! No need to apply, the waiver will be granted automatically to all students who qualify!

CONCORDIA (WI) FINANCIAL AID FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 

All accepted international students are eligible to receive non-need based financial aid. Awards range from $3,000 to $6,000 depending on previous high school coursework!

THE UNITED STATES SOUTH PACIFIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 

The United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program, authorized by the U.S. Congress and funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program that provides opportunities for degree study at U.S. institutions of higher education. The scholarship program will include a four to five-week community service project in the student’s home country. Candidates from the following countries, who meet specific selection criteria, are eligible for the program: Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. The U.S.–South Pacific (USSP) Scholarship Program is administered by the East-West Center on behalf of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

LAUREATE ONLINE EDUCATION OFFERING TUITION SAVINGS

 

Laureate Online Education is offering a 25% tuition savings to all international students referred by EducationUSA Advisers, who enroll in a certificate, bachelor, or master degree program at Walden University by December 31, 2014. Students pursuing a doctoral program are eligible for a 30% tuition savings. After December 31, 2014 the tuition savings will be 20%.

JAPANESE STUDENT COMES 'HOME' TO BOISE STATE (ID)

 

Former international students Takami Nakagawa and Rie Yoshida both graduated from Boise State in 1981, before marrying each other a year later. Next year, their story will come full circle when their son Shuhei will also graduate from Boise State.

KANSAS WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE TAKING PLACE THIS SUMMER AT KU (KS)

 

The University of Kansas (KU) is welcoming a group of students from Afghanistan, India, Morocco, Mongolia, Pakistan, Zambia, and Kansas to participate in the Kansas Women's Leadership Institute (KWLI) this summer. KWLI "provides a transformative experience that develops leadership competencies, cultivates a spirit of collaboration, and elevates the power of women’s voices."
