Pre-departure Seminar

Dear Students,

We certainly hope that some of you have received notification that you will be admitted to schools in the United States. We are eager to hear all success stories, so if you have had successful admission to any colleges or universities, please share this with us. Now for those of you traveling to the United States, we have one more very special seminar for you - the Student Visa and Pre-departure Orientation.

This event is scheduled for 6 June. We will have visa experts from the Consular division of the United States Embassy, as well as other guest speakers from the U.S. Embassy. The event is free and all that is required is a phone call to our offices at 334 - 5227 to confirm your attendance. At that time, we will ask that you provide us with your information as to where you will be studying and the terms of your studies. (Did you receive an academic scholarship, a sports scholarship, fellowship, teaching assistantship and so on?)

Your success stories are very inspirational to other students who will be working very hard next year for the same opportunities. We love to hear about your academic progress in the United States as well as about making new friends and what you think. Also please remember that often students still need IAC assistance after arriving in the United States. We can often help with information on supplemental funding as well as other issues that arise while in the United States. Please do not hesitate to call on us.
