There is no universal scale for translating from one GPA scale to another. In order to transfer your average score from Serbian university into the GPA system you have to transfer each grade separately. Usually it's done by the university you're applying at and in some cases you can find the formula for converting your grades at the university web sites. What you should know is that your grade, or percentage of academic success, is not linearly related with GPA. In order to avoid mistakes you should leave this transfer job to the university itself.

You can get more information and explanation of terms in our weekly advising sessions for graduate students, every Wednesday from 3pm.

So, since we can not translate this average mark or GPA....can you give you opinion on the chances that one have to be accepted (with scholarship) at USA university if the questionable average mark is 7.5 in Serbia (Electrical Engineering Faculty-Department of Computer Science)....I am aware that this mainly depends on the University "Name" in USA, but consider the "less-famous" universities (and I am talking about Master program not PhD).....like if University says that the GPA should be 2.5 (or 3.0 in the last two years) does this person have a chance to be accepted .....Do you know anything about this kind of matter?..... :D
